In conjunction with a key customer, Hally Labels have developed a customised solution to allow for traceability from farm to plate, in order to meet consumer demands for traceability and integrity in the supply chain.
This fit for purpose solution uses Syntherm® Select HR, a thermally coated, heat resistant (up to 90°C) high speed material which is exclusive to Hally Labels. This product has superior rigidity to other products, provides 100% barcode scanning, and is scuff resistant in the wet. In addition, it has a stable thermal print image, requires less energy to image than paper, and is less abrasive on print heads.
Its heat resistant properties allow for use through a diptank, streamlining process and improving productivity. The solution has a nullified portion which sits proud from the surface and is not affected by the shrink that occurs during dip tank processing. This allows for ease of scanning and identification.
This solution is now used in both Australia and New Zealand in vertically integrated meat businesses.
